HOW ARE THE ATTENDANCE FOR A FOOTBALL MATCH COUNTED.
We often do wonder how the attendance for a football match is counted, as they always display it ate into the second half of the match.
Now for example the other day in the match between Real Madrid and Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu, there was a attendance for the match that stood at 48,466, forty eight thousand four hundred and sixty six , even though the stadium has a capacity of holding over 84,000 eighty fur thousand people. So how did they get that figure.
Please note no empty seats are counted by the clubs, instead they count the number of tickets sold for that particular match, so even if the ticket holder failed to attend the match his ticket is counted as present for the match.
