Lionel Messi will nit be making the final list of the last three , for the award of the footballer of the year 2017/2018 The final here in the short list are 1) Cristiano Ronaldo, 2)Luka Modric ,3) Mohammed Salah. But I would like to point out here that it is absolutely disgusting leaving Lionel Messi out like this joust because he has not won a world cup.? So let us see what Lionel Messi did to be in the last three of the final list. 1) He has scored a total of 44, forty four goals in the season. 2) He won two trophies last year with Barcelona , he won the Spanish La Liga and also won the Copa Del Rey cup. 3) He has scored over forty goals for eight years in a row, has any footballer done this in Europe.
