WHEN MANCHESTER CITY WANTED TO BUY LIONEL MESSI FOR SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY FOUR MILLION POUNDS.

Now according to THE SUN, which has said that Manchester City had made contact with Lionel Messi's agent his father Jorge Messi, from December 2016 to November 2017. Manchester City then offered to pay the buy out clause of Lionel Messi , that then stood at 220, two hundred and twenty million pounds, they were also ready to pay the five year salary which would also total to 220, two hundred and twenty million pounds. And when the tax amount would be then added it would reach a massive amount of 664, six hundred and sixty four million pounds. But this never did work out though, and Pep Guardiola has contradicted this story by saying he has never ever contacted Barcelona or Lionel Messi for a transfer to Manchester City. But then Lionel Messi has now gone and signed up a new contract with Barcelona, and he will be with Barcelona till the year 2021. He has a very huge buy out clause of 660 six hundred and sixty million pounds. And what many may not know is that Barcelona put a clause on the last contract of their famous footballers, saying that after their Barcelona playing days are overthey can not join any elite club in Europe, and that is why Xavi Hernandez is playing in Qatar and Andres Iniesta is playing in Japan.
