PETR CECH WILL HANG UP HIS GLOVES AT THE END OF THE SEASON..
The former Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech , has now gone and decided that he will finally call it a day and will retire from football for good at the end of the 2018/2019 season, after playing for 26 , twenty six years, and wining a lot of trophies at Chelsea and Arsenal as well, including a champion league medal as well.
He spent fifteen years playing in England, he had joined Chelsea for a small fee of 7, seven million pounds.
He then let in only 15, fifteen goals in the 2004/2005 season in thirty eight games for Chelsea.
In the year he suffered a fractured skull during a match with Reading in the year 2006, it was a stamp by Steven Hunt.
, and after he returned from injury he always wore a skull protecting helmet used in the Rugby league.
He joined Arsenal and will retire at Arsenal.
Petr Cech holds quite a few records like the most capped Czech footballer ever with 124 caps. He holds the record for the most clean sheets by a goalkeeper it stands as 202 clean sheets.
In the 2004/2005 season he kept a total of 24 clean sheets the most by a single goalkeeper since records were first kept.
And mind you he was a man who nearly died on the pitch in 2006.
He was a no nonsense man on and off the pitch as well, and a ver good drummer as well.
