A GERMAN FOOTBALLER CONCEEDES A PENALTY , WHILE HE AS WARMING OUTSIDE THE PITCH.

In the German second tier between two clubs Holsten Kiel and Bochum. During the match a unusual thing happened and the referee gave a penalty , and the reason for the penalty was very strange one. Now Michael Eberwin was warming up and standing behind the goal net. Then the ball bounced once before going out. But before the ball did leave the pitch Michael Eberwing touched the ball with his hands, please note the ball was alive on the pitch at that time when the German substitute though he was standing out of the pitch the hands entered the pitch. This as a correct call according to F.I.F.A rules. Not only did Michael Eberwing get booked with a yellow card he also gave a penalty. I doubt if many new this rule. And the V.A.R correctly called a penalty here.
