SPORTING LISBON TO NAME THEIR FOOTBALL STADIUM AFTER CRISTIANO RONALDO.

The Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon are planning to name their standing stadium, after their most famous son , Cristiano Ronaldo. Cr5istiano Ronaldo started his football career at Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, he was then spotted by Sir Alex Ferguson during a friendly match played between Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon. But Arsenal and Arsene Wenger were also trying to sign up Cristiano Ronaldo at the very same time. Now Cristiano Ronaldo had admitted on a television interview that it is very true that Arsenal were very , very close to sign him up, but then Manchester United acted swiftly , Sir Alex Ferguson sent his assistant Carlos Queiroz , to Portugal , and to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to join up with Manchester United , instead of Arsenal , and he agreed to do so.
