Manchester United are trying to buy the 25 year old midfielder from Portugal since last summer, and the deal never ever materialised I must say. As Sporting Lisbon are a very hard club to do business with. The deal stuck because the two clubs can not agree to a fee. Sporting Lisbon are demanding a fee of 65 , sixty five million pounds counting bonuses , such as if Manchester United reach the champion league if it wins the champion league and if he does win a Balloon d Ór . But Manchester United are only willing to pay Sporting Lisbon 45 forty five million pounds. But what we must remember here is that Sporting Lisbon had taken a very big loan to pay up their debts, so the club want to regain that lost money in this deal. And another problem Sporting Lisbon will have to pay the Italian club Sampdoria a huge sum of money according to F.I.F.A rules for developing young talent. So Bruno Fernandes is angry with his club. But what is interesting here s Tottenham Hotspurs had offered Sporting Lisbon last summer a sum of 50, fifty million pounds, which was rejected flatly.
