WHEN LIVERPOOL DECIDED NOT TO BUY CRISTIANO RONALDO iIN THE YEAR 2003.

Now according to THE DAILY MAIL, Liverpool were very eager to sign up the young Portuguese player called Cristiano Ronaldo. Now Sporting Lisbon wanted a small transfer fee of just 4, four million pounds. But the Liverpool Manager Gerrard Houlier and the assistant manager Phil Thompson decided not to sin up the youngster from Portugal. But why was the decision by the two against buying young Cristiano Ronaldo. The two felt that as Cristiano Ronaldo would e getting a yearly salary of one million pounds, it would definitely unsettle the dressing room and more of the Liverpool players would be asking this amount as a yearly salary. Now a week later Cristiano Ronaldo signed up tat Manchester United for a sum of 12.2 twelve million pounds. Just imagine that! And as they say the rest is history.
