WHEN FULHAM KNOCKED OUT JUVENTUS IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE CUP.

The year was 2010 and Fulham were playing the Italian giants Juventus, who are also called THE OLD LADY OF TURIN Now Juventus were playing the second leg of the semi final match at Craven Cottage. Here Juventus had a four goal advantage over Fulham. So on paper it was suppose to be a cake walk for Juventus. For a small club like Fulham to score a single goal against Juventus would be a mammoth effort indeed. But Fulham and their manager Roy Hodgson had other ideas . Goals were scored by Zoltan Gera Bobby Zamora and Clint Dempsey, Zamora scored a double. And Clint Dempsey came as a substitute to score the winner. But Fabio Canavero was shown a red card here as well. The match fined 5-1 in Fulham's favour, and the clubs biggest victory ever. The Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was a real wall that day. Back in the year 2010 and the then called U.E.F.A Cup, today it is called the EUROPA LEAGUE CUP. final was played between Fulham and Atletico Madrid . And then the winning gal was scored by the Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan. the match ended with a win for Atletico Madrid with a score of 1-0.
