WHEN A VOLCANO ERUPTED IN ICELAND AND ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI COULD NOT FLY TO SIGN HIS CONTRACT WITH BLACKBURN ROVERS..
On 14/4/2010 there was a volcano which erupted in Iceland called Eyjafjallajökull , and lava ash, smoke and debris flew ten miles into the air with force of the eruption. Airlines were all grounded sports were hit just like today, as it was feared that debris ,dust and Ash would get into the engines of aeroplanes. Airline industries suffered big time as things took fifteen days to settle down, and things rally took till time till mid of May to return to normal.
Loss of the airlines was estimated to e 1.2 one point two Billion pounds which is huge. During this natural calamity football took a big hit as well.
Sam Allardyce the manager of Blackburn Rovers had arranged with the agent of a unheard young footballer from Poland, who was playing or a club in Poland called Warsaw Poznan, and his name was Robert Lewandowski.
Now his agent had come earlier to England for talks with Blackburn Rovers. Sam Allardyce had seen Robert Lewandowski play, but had never been able to speak to him.
But sadly Robert Lewandowski on his way to England and to have a medical at Blackburn Rovers got stranded in Germany .
He did not fly to England instead he signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund , managed by Jurgen Klopp.
As Big Sam Allardyce said we missed signing Robert Lewandowski, but the rest is history here after all.
THIS IS WHAT WE CALL DESTINY.
But let us remember as we face similar tough times like COVID 19,THERE IS A SILVER LINING OVER DARK CLOUDS OF THE WORLD.
