The former Arsenal manager Arsene wenger , has said now that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo era of domination is coming to a end after say fifteen odd years. of rally good competition and the world of football fell in love with these two and their game as well.
Arsene Wenger says Kylian Mbappe will be taking over the mantle from these two legends. But I doubt it very much. I agree that the Kylian Mbappe has won a world cup and scored a goal at a world cup at the age of 19, nineteen years, the only second teenager to win a world cup and score a goal, like Pele did at 17 years.
Now Kylian Mbappe has scored 90, ninety goals in a 120one hundred and twenty games only.
He has failed to score a hat trick against say Real Madrid or Barcelona, Lionel Messi scored a hat trick against Real Madrid at 19, nineteen years of age .He has yet to score 50, fifty goals in a single season.Will he ever score 91 , ninety one goals in a single calendar year. Or will he ever score five goals in a single champion league, Lionel Messi had scored five goals against Bayern Leverkusen, mind you it will not be easy to break this single record of Lionel Messi, as it will remain for years. For the simple reason to break this record the footballer will have to score two hat tricks in a single champion league match, and that is not going to happen.
I would personally suggest two successors Lionel Messi son and Cristiano Ronaldo sons, both are at he youth academy of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
