The Cameroon goalkeeper Andrea Onanna , who is playing his club football in Holland with Ajax.
He is a graduate from the famous youth academy of Barcelona called LA MASIA ,THE CASTLE.
He has now been found being guilty for taking the banned substance FUROSEMIDE.
He said as he was not well he wanted to take a aspirin tablet but by mistake he took his partners tablet called Furosemide, as both strips look a like here.
But he is now got twelve match ban for all his efforts.
People say that it is only a Furosemide tablet no need to make such a very big noise about it.
Now let us see why it is banned, the rules are very clear for sportsperson the world over. The must have a valid doctors prescription for any medicine taken.
And Furosemide is a tablet that helps you pass excess water in the body as urine and also extra salt.
So why is it banned then? The reason is drug cheats will use this to pass out more urine and if they were taking banned substance it will not be showing up in the urine sample.
Ajax have said that they will appeal to C.A.S. He will now miss THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS , to be played in Cameroonin 2022.
