The year was 1996 and the England football team had made it to the Euro Cup 1996.
On a day of the team took a holiday to the then English colony of Hong Kong.
That night the players went out to enjoy themselves , catch English people missing a chance to drink.
Things got bad Teddy Sherringham got really high he had to visit a dentist even and his clothes were in shreds , mind you I do not say torn it was much more then that. literally tiny pieces of cloth.
And to make matters worse there was Paul Gascoigne , who is known to be a heavy drinker like George Best.
But the England team said all that was part and parcel of enjoying a holiday in Hong Kong.
