The Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, ha now at t he age of 43, forty three years has left Juventus after playing for twenty years with the Turin club.
He had started his career as a footballer back with Parma, and was then sold to Juventus , after the departure of the Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar, from Juventus to Fulham in England.
Edwin Van Der Sar , is the first none Italian goalkeeper ever to play for Juventus.
Juventus then paid a record fee for a goalkeeper , they paid Parma a huge sum of 33.5 thirty three and a half million pounds for Gianluigi Buffon. Which was crazy money back i the 1990's.
He actually started his his career as a midfielder, at Parma, but one day a goalkeeper was injured and one spare goalkeeper was absent, so Gianluigi Buffon took over as the goalkeeper, but he was so good he changed his position on the pitch.
The only sad thing for his home coming was that Parma , s demoted at the end of last season.
He has won 2, twenty eight trophies but never won a champion league medal.
