The Italian, Parma and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has come out to say that it was this man in 1n the year 1990, made him take up goalkeeping very seriously.
That year Italy was holding the world cup and Cameroon had a goalkeeper named Thomas N'Kono , he was standing six feet three inches tall and was a very good goalkeeper.,and he impressed Gianluigi Buffon, and he decided to be goalkeeper.
In the 1990 world Cameroon reached the quarter finals, and in the opening match against world cup holders Argentina , Cameroon defeated Argentina 1-0. The stars for Cameroon were Roger Milla and Thomas Nkono. Both were awarded Cameroons highest civilian award.
Now later Gianluigi Buffon had joined up Parma 'youth academy, as a midfielder.
But one day the goal keeper was absent and Gianluigi Buffon became a goalkeeper , and has never ever looked back,he has won the world cup ut only failed to win a champion league..
