IN THE 1998 WORLD CUP THE ROMANIAN TEAM DYED THEIR HAIR BLOND.

Back in the year 1998 , at he world cup then played in France  ,those of you who watched it  might remember that the entire  Romanian football team had gone and dyed their hair Blond in colour. But why did each player dye their hair Blond in colour.?

 Here the answer is quite funny,the team told their manager  and had a bet with him .

 The bet was that if Romania  beat all  three teams in their group  England , Colombia and Croatia,then the manager should go bald  and shave his hair ,and if Romania failed to defeat all three countries in their group stages ,Then the entire team would dye their hair blond colour.

 So Romania defeated England and Colombia but lost out to Croatia.

 So all the Romanians then kept  their word  and went to a professional  saloon and dyed their hair Blond in colour.
