Argentina had won the world cup in the year 1986 in Mexico, and the 1990 world cup was in Italy.
Then Diego Maradona was in Naples as he had moved to Napoli from Barcelona.
Then at night at 9 P.M Balardo the manager of the Argentinean world cup team in Italy , arrived uninformed.
Diego Maradona was afraid as he was always getting into trouble. But that day Balardo came to inform Diego Maradona that he would nt be taking the striker Claudio Canigga to Italy for sure.
This angered Diego Maradona who then threatened to boycott the world cup in Italy.
At the end Claudio Canniga played a big part in reaching the finals against West Germany.
In the quarter finals it was goal scored by Claudio Canniga , beating te Italian goalkeeper Walter Zenga for the fits time in that world cup. He even scored a goal in the semi finals as well. It all ended well after all.
