THE GOLDEN SHOE WAS WON BY DIEGO FORLAN WITH VILLARREAL.

 The Uruguayan  footballer Diego Forlan won the Golden Shoe in Europe while playing for Villarreal a very small club in Spain then.

 He also won his second Golden Shoe in Europe while playing for Atletico Madrid..
