The seasons opening match the community shield was played between the English Premier League winner, Manchester City and the F.A cup winner Liverpool on 30/7/2022.
Liverpool was a s usual very strong and lethal in their finish here., while Manchester City looked rusty
The goal score line was a 3-1 win for Liverpool.
The goals were scored by Alexander Arnold in the 21st minute., Salah in the 83rd minute and Nunez 90+4 minutes. Julian Alvarez scored for Manchester City in the 70th minute.
With a word of caution to Liverpool usually the community shield winner rarely win the E.P.L title that year, so will history repeat itself.
