ROBERTO CARLOS SAYS HOW VERY CLOSE HE HAD COME TO JOIN UP WITH CHELSEA.

 Roberto Carlos the famous Brazilian left back who played for the Spanish giants Real Madrid for a period of eleven long years.

 He has now opened up to say that he came very, very close to sign up a contract with the English club Chelsea.

The year was 2007, and Jose Mourinho was serving Chelsea for his first term  as he manager for Chelsea.

 The talks collapsed   and he has said at that time he had two offers on the table Chelsea and Fenerbahçe, the Turkish giants.

 So he then joined Turkish giants for a short spell.
