According to THE DAILY MAIL the Russian Billionaire Roman Abramovich before he finally went and bought Chelsea. He had looked at several clubs in England.
He wanted to buy Arsenal but the swizz bank U,B,S told him very clearly that Arsenal, was a club that was not for sale at any price.
He then went to have a look at Tottenham Hotspurs.as wel, but that bid failed as well.
So he then bought Chelsea.
Arsenal escaped a bullet here.
