Alan Shearer has said that way back in the year 1996, the Spanish giants Barcelona ,had wanted to buy him from Blackburn Rovers. But Blackburn Rovers , had then told Barcelona that Alan Shearer was not for sale.
Barcelona then went and bought a young Brazilin striker called Ronaldo Nazarrio Lima , from the dutch club P.S.V. Eindhoven , by their English manager the late Sir Bobby Robson.
People then asked Sir Bobby Robson ,exactly what dd you see in Ronaldo then?
He Ronaldo was strong, fast, had a football brain, always had a eye for a goal, and was a lethal finisher. And scored sacks of goals.
By the way Ronaldo, is the only football in history, o play for Barcelona, Real Madrid, A.C. Milan and Inter Milan.
He is the only footballer to win the Pin Chichi award with both Barcelona and Real Madrid.
