The late Icon Pele in a interview to THE GURDIAN, in 2006 has come forward to say that indeed both clubs Manchester United and Real Madrid , were very keen to buy him from Santos. Manchester United wanted Pele , to play along Sir Bobby Charlton, Dennis Law and George Best at Manchester United.
And Real Madrid was equally good team with Fernec Puskas and Alberto DiStefano.
But in truth Pele ,had no desire to move to Europe as at tat time Brazilian football was vey strong.
