The football world has lost the black diamond, called Edison Nascimento D'Silva. Better known as Pele.
Pele gets his pet name from the former Vasco Da Gama goalkeeper Bile. Pele when he was small, pronounced Bile as Pele , and the name stuck forever.
He lost his battle with colon cancer and kidney problems, at the age of 82. The football world and Brazil are in utter shock and despair as King Pele is no more.
He was the only footballer to win three world cups in football history. He also scored 1,83 goals in his long and glittering career he was the first teenager to score a goal at 17 years in a world cup. He started at Santos, where he polished the boots of the footballer. From shoeshine boy to footballer of the century. He will be long remembered and greatly missed.
He was no allowed to play fora European club, as he was declared as a national heritage.
