Way back in 7/2/1970 the Irish footballer George Best screed a masterly double hat trick, for Manchester United against Northampton Town in a F.A. Cup match.
And it is fifty long years since this happened, I doubt if anybody is aware of it even today.
An the funniest thing was Georg Best had returned to football after serving a ban fir 30, thirty days from all football activities.
Fans did question whether he would re any goals after the lengthy ban only George Best showed what he could do on the football pitch.
It has been a long time since a Manchestr player scored a hat trick.?
