THE PRESIDENT ANGEL TORRES OF GETAFE SAY THEY ALMOST SIGNED LIONEL MESSI.

 The president of the Spanish club Getafe Mr Angel Torres has said that his club Getafe were tantalizing close to sign up  the Argentinean youngster Lionel Messi, from Barcelona way back in the year 2004/2005 on a loan deal ,talks went  very smoothly, and at that time Lionel Messi had just made his debut for mighty Barcelona , at the very tender age of a17, seventeen year old boy.
 But why were Getafe so keen to sign up a unknown teenager , the answer is simple that year 2005, Lionel Messi scored one of the very best goals ever seen, Lionel Messi collected the bal in the Barcelona box and ran through the field dribbling past seven Getafe players on the way to score a brilliant solo goal.
 But the Dutch Barcelona manager blocked that loan deal.
 Getafe also wanted Pep Guardiola as their manager, to replace Michael Ladraup, as well tat was blocked by the Barcelona  president Juan LaPorte.

ON 16/10/2004 FIFTEEN YEARS AGO LIONEL MESSI MADE HIS DEBUT FOR BARCELONA,REST IS HISTORY.

On 16/10/204 15, fifteen years go the young Argentinean striker Lionel Messi made his debut for Barcelona, under the manager of Franck Raijkard. It was for only seven minutes but great things were expected from this kid, and he has not disappointed the football world. He came to replace the Portuguese player Deco, in the match against Deporivta La Caruana In this match there were few injuries to the Barcelona players like Thiago Motta, Edmilson, and Gerrard. Victor Valdes got injured in the match as well. But what is not remembered by many is on that day five youngsters from the La Masia made their debut for Barcelona that day. 1) Reuben Martinez. Goalkeeper. Made two appearances for Barcelona and played a total of 105 minutes for Barcelona. Today he plays for Osasuna , but was with Deportivo La Caruana, Almeira,Raya Valecano, Malaga, Levante and Getafe as well. 2)Domia Albella. Spent time on loan with Racing Santandeer,Real Betis,Osasuna and two years with Middlesbrough. 3) Cristian Hidalgo , played one match for Barcelona. But has played for two clubs in Spain in the lower division. but has been a real traveller as he has played in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania a well as Morocco. 4)Calum Pena. Did not play for Barcelona at all. So of the five players only Lionel Messi has done really well at Barcelona.

IN THE YEAR 1999 A.C.MILAN LOST HEAVILY TO PARMA..

A.C. Milan are also the only club in Italian history to go a entire season undefeated or they to were the invincible in the year 1995. with players like Ruud Gullet, Marco Van Basten Franck Riajkard, Paulo Maldini and George Weah. But in the year 1999 mighty A.C. Milan were defeated very soundly by a small club in Italy called Parma and they had layers like Gianluigi Buffon, Dino Baggio, Lilian Thiuram, Hernan Crespo and Sebastian Veron. Now Mr Tanci was found guilty of stealing huge sums of money from the club and it had to be sod to new owner. Then Parma who were sponsored by the Dairy firm Parmalat went bankrupt, and Parma was not only sold they were even demoted to the second division. and the new owners had to find a ew sponsorer as well.
