THE 1994 WORLD CUP IN THE U.S.A.

During the 1994 world cup in the U.S.A. Saw some good football and a few records fell on the way. F.I.F.A did not expect it tobe such a sucess.
1 The total attendence for the 1994 world cup in the U.S.A. was a record,a total of 3. 6 million attended the matches. With an average of 69,000 per match.
2 It was the for the first time in world cup history that one player scored five goals in one match. The player was the RUSSIAN Oleg SALENKO. Who scored all the five goals verses CAMEROON in 6-0 score.
3 The ITALIAN goalkeeper GANLALUGA PAGLALUKA, got a red card against Norway , for handling the ball outside the box. In so becoming the the first goalkeeper to be sent out in a world cup.
4 BRAZIL won its fourth world cup a record.
5 Probably for the first time thre were two pairs of twins playing in the world cup . The FLO twins and the DE Boer twins.
6 The columbian footballer Andrea ESCOBAR scored an own goal against the U.S.A. So Columbia lost the match 2-1. Andrea ESCOBAR was later shot by a lady in COLUMBIA ten days later.
7The golden boot winner was HRISTO Stoichkov and OLEG SALENKO.
8 The final between ITALY and BRAZIL ended in a draw after extra time. And was decided by a penalty shootout. Which BRAZIL won 3-2 Robetto Baggio missed his penalty.
