THE GREAT EUSIBO.

Eusibo da Silva Ferreira, wasborn in Mozambique, in Somalia a former Portugeese colony.On 25 of january1942. But he lived in Portugal from his childhood.
He played for the Portugeese giants Benfica , he played for this club for a period of fifteen years. At the end of his carrer he played for a short time fot the Las VEGAS QUICKSILVER team for a short time, hekeptgetting injured there.
He was called the BLACK PANTHER, or the BLACK PEARL. Because of his speed and acurate passes. And because he was a very valuble player.
He played in the 1966 world cup, where he won the golden boot award after scoring nine goals in the tournament. Pease note fromthe 1974world cup onwards not more than six goals have been scored by a single player , now the goal posts are largerto help the strikers.
The 1966 quaterfinal between North Korea and Portugal will be remembered for a long time as NORTH KOREA were 0-3 at one time , and Eusibo hadto play at his very best to eventualy beat NORTH KOREA 5-3.
He won the EUROPEN footballer of the year in 1965.
Out of the fifteen years he played for BENFICA eleven times they were the countrys champion
He is one of thefew players in the world who have scored more goals and played less matches.
He has played 715 matches and scored 728 goals in the BENFICA jersey. Very few have done this.
