The famous Italian and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon who has done very well for himself over the years.He originally started his career as a midfielder , but it was a Parma he was a goalkeeper 20/11/2001 is a very important year as Gianluigi Buffon made his debut as a goalkeeper for Parma at the tender age of 17 years.That match was a famous one as Parma played giants A.C.Milan that day. And A.C.Milan boasted of players like Roberto Baggio , Marco Van Basten and George Weah. But Gianluigi Buffon held his nerves and the match ended 0-0. Juventus had a Dutch goalkeeper formerly from Ajax, Edwin Van Dersar , he was the first non Italian to be the goalkeeper at Juventus history . Juventus then bought Gianluigi Buffon from Parma for 23 million pounds , a record for the costliest goalkeeper ever. And he is still with Juventus even when they were relegated with that infamous scandal. . He has won many trophies with Juventus for Italy he has won the world cup in 2006, but he has yet to win the EURO CUP with Italy. Nor has he won the champion league with Juventus.
