In the year 2008 Inter Milan ad their manager Jose Mourinho and the board of Marco Branco Massimo Morratti both wanted to buy Lionel Messi from Barcelona, and they were willing to give him a far better weekly salary then what Barcelona, were giving Lionel Messi in the year 2008.
Inter Milan in that year was managed by Jose Mourinho, he also was longing to sign Lionel Messi, from Barcelona.
But lionel Messi very politely turned down the Inter Milan offer, he said it was not only about money .
You see Barcelona were the only club that was willing to take a huge gamble on spending 100, one hundred pounds on a monthly injection, to treat Lionel Messi of Bone Hormone Deficiency.
So Lionel Messi is very grateful to Barcelona, and will retire at Barcelona.
