The Borussia Dortmund footballer Jadon Sancho was shown a straight yellow card for lifting up his jersey and showing the words written on his under shirt.
The words supported the late black American George Floyd , who was killed by a white policeman who knelt on his neck and George Floyd died of suffocation. The policeman is tried for third degree murder.
The words said JUSTICE FOR GEORGE FLOYD.
Now according to F.I.F.A rules it is illegal to show flags, banners posters or writing messages on jerseys.
As it can turn quite ugly when it is used by countries for political benefit .
For example the Barcelona club were fined heavily for flying the Catalunya flag.
Serena Williams and LeBron James have also supported te protest for George Floyd.
