In the entire history of football , there is ony one footballer ever to win the Balloon d'OR and also be the president of his country. He is none other then the President of Liberia, George Weah.. Lovenly called KING GEORGE. As a youngster he joined upunder the famous manager Arsene Wenger, he was told by a friend that George Weah was indeed very talented. And Arsene Wenger liked what he saw ,the boy was quick, powerfulwith qick feet and a eye for a goal. A few yeaes later the unpolished African diamond was polished and ready for sale. George Weah was ten sold to A.C. Milan in Italy, and the rest is history, as they say. He became the first and so far only footballer ever to win the Balloon d 'Or , in the year 1995. He is now the President of Liberia, which had suffered for years from a long cival war under Charles Taylor.
